Job Summary Under direct supervision of the Facility Fitness Coordinator, the Fitness Instructor leads safe, effective and enjoyable group fitness classes to recreation center participants of various fitness levels. Provide personalized attention and customer service to participants and other Recreation Center users. Maintain an understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutrition and wellness to promote fitness and educate participants; within the scope of your certification and training.
Goodson Recreation Center • Tuesday and Thursday 5pm BodyPump • Wednesday 5:30pm Pilates Reformer Lone Tree Recreation Center Tuesday 10:45am Yoga Wednesday 5:30pm BodyPump Buck Recreation Center Thursday 9am Yin Yoga Saturday 8am Hatha Yoga (1st and 3rd) Substitutes Needed For • Cycle • Yoga • BodyPump Job Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. 2 A minimum of six (6) months group fitness experience is preferred. Current CPR/AED Certification. Necessary Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Must be competent in a variety of fitness training techniques and standards, as well as competent in the use of a variety of cardiovascular, strength and functional training fitness equipment as relates to the group fitness classes you will be leading. Must have excellent communication, customer service and problem solving skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be willing to work a varied work schedule which may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. A combination of education and experience may be considered. The ability to successfully complete a background check including and not limited to criminal history search is required.
