The candidate we are looking for will be able to groom talented on-site staff and teach, coach and mentor them into the best team in property management. Are you that leader?
If You Have • Set the pace as a portfolio manager, asset manager or regional manager • Developed assistants into high-functioning managers • Taught leasing agents how to close with ease • Routinely guided maintenance staff to turn around work orders in a clockwork manner with quality work • Established a history of boosting your properties' NOI • Been considered at least one employee's "favorite boss" because you improved the work culture • then we need to talk! Responsibilities • Create annual budgets for the properties in your portfolio • Hire management staff for the properties in your portfolio • Train, coach and develop management staff for the properties in your portfolio • Monitor the financial performance of the properties in your portfolio and ensure the properties meet established goals • Ensure the properties in your portfolio are meeting operational standards (resident retention, maintenance, marketing/advertising, etc.) • Collaborate with owners and vendors to manage capital projects within your portfolio Qualifications • A bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience • At least three years of industry experience • At least two years managing or overseeing more than 200 rental homes • Experience successfully managing others • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to create and analyze financial statements • Experience creating budgets and marketing plans • Managing diverse property types ranging from apartments to mobile home communities a plus • YOU HAVE TO CARE, WORK HARD AND EXHIBIT PROFESSIONALISM We were founded as “Apartment Data Center” in 1969. Originally, our organization operated as a tenant referral service, matching apartment owners with renters. It also published “The Apartment Guide,” a free booklet for prospective renters. While Apartment Data Center earned revenue from landlords who acquired tenants through our service or advertised in The Apartment Guide, the biggest treasure of Apartment Data Center was the knowledge it mined about the needs, tendencies, behaviors and motivations of renters. Ultimately we became one of the premiere property management companies in the Portland Metropolitan area
