For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position. Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.
Vacancies currently available in the following department(s): Human ResourcesEDUCATION: • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business or Social Science fields. EXPERIENCE: • Three (3) years of high-volume talent sourcing/acquisition experience. EQUIVALENCY(IES): • High school diploma or GED plus seven (7) years of the required experience including will meet the education and experience requirements. • An associate's degree in any field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements. • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in a non-specified field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S): • Valid driver's license with good driving record. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILIT(IES): • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations governing the employment assessment and selection process • Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), federal and state laws as it pertains to employment selection. • Knowledge of City personnel rules, Civil Service Rules and related protocols. • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems. • Knowledge of sourcing candidates electronically via social media and networking outlets. • Effective oral/written communication skills. • MS Office or similar software skills. • Ability to handle multiple priorities, with attention to detail and organization PREFERENCE(S): • Experience utilizing multiple social/media sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) for candidate sourcing. • Experience with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and candidate management systems (e.g. Workday, Lawson, Neogov) is highly preferred. • SHRM certification
