Part-time - Department Office of Information Technology - College of Medicine - Responsibilities As Assistant Dean, provides executive leadership to align the direction of strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the Office of Information Technology (OIT) systems for the College of Medicine. Leads the OIT team in addressing ongoing challenges related to identification and deployment of technical solutions and managing technology. Provides leadership and direction for the OIT technology infrastructure, information management and the security and privacy efforts. Liaison with other university units including, but not limited to: FSU Information Technology Services (ITS), other colleges, and other medical schools. Works with the leadership of the College of Medicine in establishing priorities for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for the four strategic areas of Education, Research, Clinical, and Service, to include serving the six regional campuses, multiple training sites, centers, institutes and research aspects of the COM. Responsible for interactions representing OIT internally and externally as needed. Serves on the Executive Committee and is responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures. Promotes collaborative approaches to managing technology resources, develops fiscally sustainable strategies to ensure ongoing maintenance of and enhancement to the College's technology environment, and minimizes the impact of budget constraints. Responsible for the administrative and budgetary management for OIT. Directs and supervises all units of OIT, to include: Information Technology, Information Management, Educational Technology Coordinators, and Security and Privacy. Stays abreast of advances in privacy and security, infrastructure technology, programming methodologies and the medical industry and any technology related industry developments. - Qualifications Terminal degree or doctorate degree in an appropriate area of specialty, and a minimum of six years applicable experience. Two years of experience must be in a supervisory role. - Pay Plan This is a Faculty position. - Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
