Responsibilities As a Supervisory Auditor, you will: • Oversee or lead multiple teams with planning and conducting highly technical and complex audits, reviews, surveys, assessments, evaluations, and other projects that promote efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance and that work is done in accordance with Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). • Provide day-to-day supervision and direction to division, teams, and staff. As part of those duties provide supervisory review and approval of audit objectives, scope, methodologies, protocols, project plans, audit findings, analysis, workpapers and audit evidence, recommendations, and audit reports. Use audit software to carry out supervisory audit duties. • Oversee or lead teams in obtaining sufficient, appropriate, and reliable evidence through inspection, observation, inquiries, and confirmation to provide a reasonable basis for an opinion regarding the subject being audited. • Lead or participate in the planning, development, and presentation of written reports and oral briefings for senior OIG and Agency leaders on progress of projects, audit findings, and recommendations. • Assess the progress of corrective actions taken by Agency officials regarding recommendation implementation. • Develop division audit plans. Monitor compliance with audit teams’ plans and schedules to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of audit practices, resources, and tools. • Perform human resource management functions that include, but are not limited to: workforce/succession planning, employee counseling, supporting EEO and affirmative action initiatives, evaluating work performance, proposing awards, resolving complaints, identifying employee training needs, and developing and mentoring employees. ### Travel Required Occasional travel - International and overnight travel is required. ##### Supervisory status Yes ##### Promotion Potential 15 • #### Job family (Series) 0511 Auditing • Requirements Help ## Requirements ### Conditions of Employment • U.S. Citizenship is required • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance • Relocation expenses WILL NOT be paid • Designated and/or random drug test required • Males born after 12/31/1959, must be registered with the Selective Service • International and overnight travel will be required. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date. This means that you must have served at least 52 weeks at the next grade level (or equivalent) below the grade advertised on this vacancy. To be eligible for a VEOA appointment, your latest discharge must be issued under honorable conditions (this means an honorable or general discharge), AND you must be either: (1) a preference eligible (defined in title 5 U.S.C. 2108(3)), OR (2) a veteran who substantially completed 3 or more years of active service.
