Advertised Summary Job Description The cancer biostatistics program at Columbia University Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) seeks a Biostatistician to develop and implement statistical methods; conduct statistical consultation with clinicians and researchers at HICCC regarding experimental and clinical design, data analysis, and power analysis. The candidate will perform statistical programming; assist in the preparation of grant applications and manuscripts for publication purposes. Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus three years of related experience. Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor's degree in statistics or related field required. Candidates must have good methodology training in statistics/biostatistics and strong programming skills, in particular R and SAS, in addition to data analysis experience. Experience and skills with clinical trial designs and implementation, or analyzing large data sets, particularly in high dimensional "omics" data are desirable.
