We are looking for an individual who is motivated, passionate about HR, and eager to learn. - Responsibilities This position is responsible for processing employee appointments and personnel actions for FSU employees in the OMNI HR System. Reviews appointments for completeness and accuracy as it relates to Federal, State, and University guidelines. Troubleshoots and consults with departments and department representatives on the appointment process and disparities. - Qualifications A Bachelor's degree; or a high school diploma or equivalency and four years or experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years) Skilled in computer operations to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. Excellent problem solving and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills; experience organizing and coordinating work processes to meet deadlines. Experience performing accurately in a detail oriented and time sensitive environment. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Applicable knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. - Preferred Knowledge of University policies and procedures; direct experience with People Soft HCM or other Human Capital Management or Payroll related systems. Understand/interpret/apply applicable rules governing pay & appointments. - Anticipated Salary Range Anticipated starting salary will fall in the low $30,000s; commensurate with experience. - Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position. - Schedule If not otherwise specified schedule is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm. - Criminal Background Check This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. - How To Apply If qualified and interested in a specific job opening as advertised, apply to Florida State University at https://jobs.fsu.edu.
