The basic purpose of this position is to ensure that active treatment is provided to consumers in Day Programs, according to established goals and objectives and to monitor progress toward those goals.
1. Give direct instructions to and monitor the performance of staff to ensure that consumers are treated with dignity and respect and that ISP's are carried out as written. 2. Maintain accountability checks per current Internal Procedures, complete necessary documentation daily to ensure attendance of those consumers assigned to program area and maintain coverage in classrooms. 3. Attends departmental and called team meetings when necessary and disseminates information to subordinates. 4. Review functional assessments, review data and progress notes for the activity center. 5. Monitors early morning feeding in campus area units and assist with transport to and from Day Programs. 6. Serves as in-charge person for designated area(s). 7. Performs related duties as required. This position requires the ability to interact and relate to persons with disabilities in a dignified and concerned manner. A basic knowledge of the functions and capabilities of the developmentally disabled. This position requires a Bachelor Degree or an Associate Degree with 4 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Please see our Agency Specific Application Procedures.
