Learn more about this agency ### Responsibilities • Provide oral presentations to senior managers on technical issues to include impacts, options, risks, and recommendations in order to gain approval for needed course of action. • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work. • Provide a comprehensive desktop environment management system through desktop IT virtualization. • Maintain operation and performance of local and wide area, secure and non-secure networks to meet organizational and customer connectivity requirements. • Collaborate with other internal and external organizations to ensure interface and interconnectivity requirements are met. • Monitor configuration tools to meet accreditation and compliance standards. • Deliver and install new computer equipment and software to meet operational expectations. • Remove equipment and software no longer needed for operation. • Write statements of work for services, equipment and systems for use in requests for proposals. • Collaborate with contractors on technical issues during all phases of the life cycle to maintain consistent and uninterrupted service. ### Travel Required Occasional travel - Business travel is required 20% of the time. ##### Supervisory status Yes ##### Promotion Potential None • #### Job family (Series) 2210 Information Technology Management #### Similar jobs • Coordinators, Network • Network Coordinators • Requirements Help ## Requirements ### Conditions of Employment • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Non-Critical Sensitive Secret Access security clearance. • Must comply with Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements. • Must file an annual financial disclosure statement. ### Qualifications • *Who May Apply:** • Current Federal Employee • Reinstatement Eligible • Veterans Eligible as 30% Disabled Veteran • Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) Eligible • *If you are a current permanent DCMA Employee employed at a "lower broadband level or equivalent":** You will be considered for a Temporary Promotion opportunity. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. • *Experience required:** To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. • *To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the level NH-02. Specialized experience is defined as:** Experience integrating and implementing network projects with existing government/contractor network environments; and/or evaluating technical application strategies with a view toward enhancing system performance and improving network reliability; experience resolving processing deficiencies relative to operation systems, telecommunications protocols, processors, controllers, and file servers; experience in performing inventories, reconciliation, and disposal of excess IT equipment.
