District 19 CSB is seeking a seasoned professional for a Full time Emergency Services Therapist position located in Petersburg, VA. Essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to: crisis screening for civil commitment, brief crisis intervention and counseling, follow-up of hospital and jail/prison discharges, and outpatient therapy. Attendance at civil commitment hearings. Requirements: (Experience, Essential Education, and Skills Needed): Required qualifications include: Master's degree in human services or a related field that will lead to Licensure as a LPC,LCSW,LMFT with the Virginia Board of Health Professions, clinical experience providing therapy service to consumers with mental health/substance abuse/co-occurring disorders; ability to make sound clinical decisions under stressful circumstances, Knowledge of VA code as it relates to involuntary commitment, knowledge of assessment and diagnosis of substance use and mental health. This position requires certification as Preadmission Screening Evaluator within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications/Other Relevant Job Information: Preferred candidate will have basic computer skills, crisis intervention experience. Professional license preferred (ie LCSW, LPC, LMFT). PLEASE NOTE: Rotating (8-hour) shifts during the hours of 7:00am-12:00 midnight, Monday through Friday. Requires periodic overnight/weekend shifts. Position is a grade 209-211 depending Licensure Status. Minimum annual salary is $47,476.00. Starting salary for new employees will be based on the prospective employee's knowledge, skills and abilities directly relating to the position's duties. Current or most recent verified salary will also be taken into consideration prior to making an offer of employment. Starting salaries for new employees will not exceed the advertised maximum and will be based on the availability of funding within the current budget. Position requires pre-employment extensive background check and drug screening. Position requires driver's license in state of residence with a point balance of -6 or higher.
