Internship - TheORANGE BOWL COMMITTEE Inc., (OBC ), based in Miami Lakes, was created in 1935 with the mission of generating tourism for South Florida through an annual football game and supporting events. The OBC is seeking highly motivated candidates for its2019-20 Digital Media Internship Program.The Orange Bowl Internship Program is available year-round. LEARNING EXPERIENCE - Intern will learn and be exposed to: - Inner workings of major non-profit sports and event organization The world of digital media and how imperative it is to stay relevant and engaging in the digital marketplace Exposure to editing and maintenance of the Orange Bowl website Learn about the creation and delivery of Orange Bowl social media campaigns Participation with developing creative ideas for social media engagement Acquire knowledge with research and documentation of new digital media tools and platforms Participation with new media logistics such as photo cropping/editing for stories, video filming and editing for website and social media campaigns, etc. Learn about web and graphic production for special projects Acquire knowledge with developing sweepstakes, contest and promotions on social media Be trained on events and promotions coverage for social and digital projects Other opportunities as may be available PREREQUISITES Pursuing a degree and/or career in Digital Media, Marketing or Public Relations Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and strong editing, writing an typing skills Proficiency with social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.), video editing and photo editing software is a plus Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds Note: Preferred commitment of a minimum of 20 hours a week consistent with academic demands/schedule Review of applications will continue until position(s) is/are filled.
