$28,000 a yearDepartment Facilities Financial Services Responsibilities This position focuses on accounts payable responsibilities. Responsible for working with University financial and accounting records applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Audits and reconciles accounts
payable for Utilities and Engineering Services, Solid Waste/Recycling, Master Craftsman Program, Energy Funds, Capital Recovery, and Sustainability. Ensures invoice payments are compliant with applicable guidelines. Researches and resolves incorrect or missing invoices by communicating with outside vendors and internal staff as appropriate. Accounts receivable responsibilities include processing all external Utility billings on a monthly basis and processing all refuse pull fee billings as needed. Responsible for preparing deposits for all Master Craftsman Program. Ensures maintenance and control of related financial records by reconciling deposits to the OMNI Financials system. Assists in month end billing process of campus and external commercial meters utilizing AiM. Sets up/discontinues services with utility service providers and monitors leased space for Utilities. Assists with recurring and new Work Order setups for Utilities and Engineering Services, Solid Waste/Recycling, and the Master Craftsman Program. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma/equivalency and four years of experience. (Note:or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.) Experience or knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Knowledge of accounting systems and practices. Experience or knowledge of the concepts, principles, and practices of data collection. Knowledge of electronic data processing as it applies to fiscal and accounting activities. Ability to perform accurately in a detail oriented environment and prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices. Anticipated Salary Range Starting salary range $28,000.00 , commensurate with experience Pay Plan This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
