Description of Work Salary Range GN 05 $31,200 - $44,091 This position is located in Chatham County. Hiring salary will be based on relevant qualifications, internal equity, and budgetary considerations pertinent to the advertised position. This position is the first point of contact for criminal offenders reporting for their probation appointments. Position will provide clerical support to the Chief Probation/Parole Officer and the employees therein consisting primarily of Probation/Parole Officers. The Administrative Associate II will monitor offender waiting areas and to answer basic inquiries from offenders and direct to the appropriate personnel and will direct all incoming traffic via telephone or face-to-face; electronically compose memoranda, letters, official court documents, investigatory reports, statistical reports with limited instruction from supervisor. Must be able to effectively and accurately operate various office machines to include computer, calculator, fax and copy machine. The Administrative Associate II will work within daily, weekly and monthly guidelines and in a stressful environment with frequent criminal offender interaction. Proofread documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation. Input and comprehend computer generated data. Work under stressful conditions to meet daily and monthly deadlines. Receive and process mail, conduct inventory of equipment. Effectively maintain files and records according to departmental policy to provide quick, easy access and retrieval of information. Incumbent often works alone in confined areas. Position will analyze, reconcile, and compile monthly reports with specified time frames to include but not limited to unit statistical reports, mileage reports, stamp logs, mileage logs, phone bills and copy machine reports.
