Time Job Search Category: Administrative Advertised Job Summary: JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Budgetary: Assists in monitoring departmental budgets. Processes all EDLP forms and expenditures related to procurement, services and travel. Reviews and reconciles monthly expenditure reports, oversees all procurement card activity and serves as the procurement card liaison for the department. Responsible for interpreting allowable expenditures per departmental and College policies with accuracy and efficiency. Human Resources: Processes all faculty, staff, student and temporary employee human resources and payroll documents for EDLP. Manages annual faculty search process and coordinates annual reviews for faculty and staff within the department. Reviews and reconciles monthly payroll expenditures, instructional support and updates personnel reports. Serves as departmental contact for College HR Liaison. Assistant to Department Chair: Assists Department Chair with duties as assigned. Plans meetings and events, schedules appointments, completes special assignments, facilitates interpretation, implementation and recommendation of departmental policies and procedures. Works with College offices regarding matters such as technology, facilities and student issues. Academic Scheduling: Coordinates and inputs academic schedule for all academic programs associated with the department. Works with appropriate university personnel and offices to secure classroom space and eliminate scheduling conflicts. Maintains accurate list of room assignments and assists faculty with instructional technology needs. Online Academic Support: Provide departmental administrative and academic support for faculty, staff and students engaged in online graduate programs through the university's relationship with Academic Partnerships. Support may come in the form of, but is not limited to, fiscal management, student services and/or faculty assistance. Data Management: Maintains electronic and paper files with proficiency and accuracy. Responsible for analyzing data and creating reports to assist the Department Chair with decisions regarding departmental operations and resource allocation. Other: Contributes to unit efforts by performing other duties assigned or required. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience in business management, administrative services or related field; or equivalency.
