The administrative specialist works collaboratively with CIS Staff to support the success of international programs and incoming international students and scholars; ensure compliance with university guidelines, policies and procedures for international engagement and international student enrollment. Support daily operations of the Center for International Studies, including establishing and maintaining records, processing payment requests and disbursements, and provide support for Center’s staff. Assist with event planning and travel reservations as needed. Process applications of incoming exchange and visiting international students. Maintain insurance records for international students at USC Upstate. Assist with arrival, transition, and departure support for international and exchange students. Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions) Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of direct experience serving college students; or associate’ s degree and 4 years related work experience. Good driving record, valid driver’s license, and successful background check are required. Availability and willingness to work some late evenings and weekends. Ability and willingness to drive a 14 passenger van. Preferred Qualifications Experience with PeopleSoft, TerraDotta, TouchNet Marketplace, and collegiate record keeping systems.
