Hourly Rate of Pay: $7.25 - $27.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application) This temporary position will be assigned to DIT Administration. This position serves as a classification analyst within the DIT HR Classification/Compensation Section. Job responsibilities include the following: 100% Classification & Compensation • Review individual position actions such as request for new positions, reallocations, position transfers, in-range adjustments and restudies for proper classification. Provides consultation to agency management as it relates to position management needs. • Collecting all relevant information necessary to determine appropriate allocation of positions. Determine if documentation submitted (I.e., HR Action form, PeopleAdmin position descriptions, org charts, notes, etc.) are enough to make decision; interview employees or supervisors for clarification of job information. • Analyze information collected using appropriate evaluation technique. Determine if allocation request represent consistent use of role or classification. • Prepare appropriate documentation to explain allocation decisions. Prepares analyst notes and other forms of documentation. • Communicates revisions, rationale and recommended decisions to agency management. • Completes the evaluation process and related activities to meet specified timeframes. Ensures proper preparation of documents and processing. Knowledge of the interpretation and application of federal laws and State HR laws, policies and practices governing HR. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to express ideas clearly and concisely; to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within delegated level of authority.Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
