The position requires a thorough knowledge of contract provisions impacting industry and the ability to effectively negotiate provisions to correctly adjust risk among several parties. In addition, the position requires an ability to understand the financial implications of various contract terms. The Contracts Manager must be detail-oriented and possess exceptional communication skills combined with practical business judgment. Work well across disciplines and articulate key concepts and build consensus around the best course of action for firm. Qualification and Experience The candidate should have Juris Doctor from ABA accredited law school and licensed in good standing in appropriate jurisdiction(s). Should have experience directly related to the advertised position, including experience dealing with contract types such as CPFF, T&M, IDIQ, and lump sum as well as typical contractual terms impacting engineering and construction (or a closely related industry). Must have excellent negotiation and verbal and written communication skills. Should have ability to apply practical business judgment to effectively balance risk and opportunity and to provide advice on matters impacting “go/no go†decisions. Must have excellent problem-solving skills, responsive approach to client service and a “get things done†attitude.
