Advertised Job Summary:
The Law Enforcement Officer I (Class 3) provides security and protection for the National Advocacy Center (NAC). They are Class 3 certified police officers in accordance with SC Code of Laws, and are empowered with special duties. They will work in conjunction with Class 1 certified police officers in providing a safe and peaceful environment for all while ensuring safe and reliable access to the University. They enforce state laws and National Advocacy Center rules/regulations. Upon successful completion of field training and probationary year employees in this position will receive a 10% base salary increase.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma. Must be 21 years of age, be physically qualified and have no criminal record. Must pass a background investigation and complete the SC Criminal Justice Academy with certification as Class 3-SLE. Licensed to operate an automobile required.
