Education - Bachelor's Degree Skills - Network - Organizational Skills - Administrative Experience Benefits - Vision Insurance - Tuition Reimbursement - Paid Time Off Job Summary Assists the Director and the Director of Science with the day to day administrative matters of the Sea Level Solutions Center (SLSC) including but not limited to: scheduling of meetings, public engagements and inquiries, organizing workshops, budgeting, purchasing, travel authorizations and payroll matters. Assists the Leadership of SLSC (Director and Director of Science) in the planning, development and implementation of proposals. Be knowledgeable about the mission of the SLSC Assist the Director with the day to day operations for SLSC, including but not limited to: budgeting, commitment control, purchasing, travel authorizations and payroll matters. Respond to public inquiries and outreach on behalf of SLSC Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets to include serving as purchasing agent for the SLSC Provide assistance to the Leadership of SLSC in the planning, development and implementation of proposals. Coordinate the dissemination of information about events and news with the InWE Communication Staff. Be responsible for overall maintenance and upkeep of the SLSC website Facilitate all matters related to the internal/external workshops organized by SLSC Supervise student assistants and volunteers of SLSC Perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are related to the position Be willing to work from MMC Campus at least once a week Desired Qualifications Experience in administrative matters Experience with social media and networking Excellent organizational skills Exposure to research grants, budgets and reports Excellent verbal and written communication skills Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience providing administrative support, or coordinating functions of an office or department Work Schedule Begin Time: 8:00 AM End Time: 5:00 PM Advertised Salary $16 - $19/hourly Pre-Employment Requirements Criminal Background Check Temporary Disclosure As a temporary employee, you will not be eligible to participate in all employee benefit programs (e.g., paid leave, retirement, or tuition reimbursement).
