This position is located at Albemarle Correctional Institution in New London, NC. This position will provide clerical support to the Administrative Officer III. Many functions and tasks are performed that involve extensive public and staff contact. Areas of responsibilities include: Process Correctional Officer hiring packages. Enter and track employee disciplinary investigations. Compose memorandums and letters with limited instruction from supervisor. Time administration in the Integrated HR-Payroll System. Proofread documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation. Effectively maintain and track data, organize files and records both hard copies and electronic. Review complicated tasks to ensure accuracy and integrity of information. Position works under pressure to meet deadlines for reports and other requirements. Comprehend and abide by policy and procedures. Interpret written and orally instructions. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality. Prepare and conduct New Employee Orientation in the absence of the HR Technician. Remain up to date on state benefits to help guide new or current employees. Knowledge in using Microsoft Access. This position will be Monday-Friday, 8 hour days.Listed below are the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) associated with this position.
