Job Summary: Performs general duty police work regarding the welfare and property of Tulsa Community College and its students, faculty and staff. Responsible for enforcement of pertinent college regulations and state laws, which may occasionally involve considerable physical danger and always requiring knowledge of practices and procedures of modern police work. Campus: Metro Classification: Staff Position Type: Full-time Curricular: If Faculty, Contract Length: Job Code Number: 4063F-2-19 Minimum Qualifications: Must be a qualified police officer and/or a certified peace officer by the State of Oklahoma. Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or equivalent combination of training with at least five years work experience in patrol, investigation, and report writing. Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with college employees, students, the general public, and various law enforcement agencies. Must be able to travel and work on various campuses and other locations. AED/CPR certification or ability to attain certification within one year. Preferred Qualifications: Considerable knowledge of modern criminal law procedures and laws of arrest. Minimum Salary: Minimum starting salary: $14.77/hr Work Schedule: 40 hours per week flexible, including some evenings and weekends.
