Please visit the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center's website for additional information.About Our Job Our growing Corporate Sales and Marketing department seeks an experienced, motivated marketing professional to join our team. If you're interested in combining your passion for entertainment with your successful track record in advertising and marketing we want to speak with you! This position has a base salary of $42,141.60 (depending on experience and qualifications) PLUS the potential to earn commission. Job duties may include: • Work with Director of Corporate Sales and Marketing to develop marketing communications campaigns. • Work with advertisers and promoter marketing for timely and useable ad submissions. • Work with promoter marketing to determine event budget and manage expenses to that budget. • Develop and create marketing, promotional materials and company literature for print, electronic and digital mediums. • Provide input on Advertising Sponsorship Package Activations. • Work with Account Executive to fulfill corporate, suite and/or advertising sponsorship packages. • Conduct extensive media outreach with fresh story ideas. Promoting a positive image for the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center with all local, state and national media organizations and promoters. • Coordinate scheduling, logistic and press interviews. • Serves in rotation with other designated staff members as Manager on Duty for major events.For a detailed job description, click here. About You We are looking for a dedicated advertising and marketing professional that has a strong innovative spirit. Someone who is creative, organized and able to adapt to meet the needs of the client. This individual must have the ability to quickly establish personal relationships with both clients and advertisers through trust and empathy while becoming an expert on the Rapid City Market. Our ideal candidate will: • be an excellent listener, assertive, persistent and persuasive • be adaptable and can think on their feet • be willing to accommodate to a flexible work schedule as some nights and weekends may be required • be willing to get involved in the community as building relationships and networking will be important in this roleWe understand your time is valuable, so we encourage you to apply if you possess one of the following minimum requirements: • Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, marketing or related field and three years experience in facility management, event coordination or related field preferred • Associate's degree in business administration, sales, marketing, or related field and five years experience in facility management, event coordination or related field • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and seven years experience in facility management, event coordination or related field
