Advertised Summary Job Description The Office of University Life was created in 2015 to develop and enhance the experience for all Columbia University students. Working in collaboration with students, faculty and staff throughout the schools, we focus on strengthening resources, policies and conversations, and building community outside of the classroom. Working closely with the Director of Communications and Marketing, Marketing Communications Manager, and other members of the University Life team, the Communications Assistant will work on several key assignments including: 1. Update two University Life-owned websites, social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube) and email client 2. Create monthly reports with Google Analytics 3. Manage timelines and assure deadlines are met for team goals and projects 4. Additional duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant 1. A bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent and a minimum of two years of related experience in a university or other complex organization 2. Experience using content management systems (such as Wordpress or Drupal), social media platforms and email marketing software (like Mailchimp). Google Analytics experience a plus 3. Creative, accurate and strong organizational and communication (both written and verbal) skills 4.
