* Duties Help ## Duties ### Summary The purpose of this position is to serve as a Senior Industrial Security Representative, responsible for handling the more difficult, complex, and challenging ISP issues within the Field Office's Area of Responsibility (AOR), and assisting the Field Office Chief as necessary in managing, directing, and coordinating day-today operations of the respective Field Office. Learn more about this agency ### Responsibilities As an INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: • Conduct security surveys of assigned contractor facilities such as evaluation of organization structures, legal operating plans to determine eligibility for a facility security clearance. • Review contract documents, program security classification guides and Contract Security Classification Specifications to ensure security requirements and classification guidance are specified and properly implemented. • Evaluate, validate, and inspect all non-technical Information Systems (IS) features and safeguards for contractor facilities processing classified information. • Ability to train, lead, and mentor a team of security professionals. • Skill in identifying counterintelligence issues, assessing risks, and providing security countermeasures recommendations/alternatives to mitigate the risk. • Ability to develop and present oral briefings to high-level management officials. ### Travel Required Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. ##### Supervisory status No ##### Promotion Potential 13 • #### Job family (Series) 0080 Security Administration • Requirements Help ## Requirements ### Conditions of Employment • Must be a US citizen • Male born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service • Resume and supporting documents received by 11:59PM EST will be considered • This is a Drug Testing designated position • Position is a (DCIPS) position in the Excepted Service under U.S.C. 1601 • WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time • OVERTIME: Occasionally • TOUR OF DUTY: Flexible • PCS (Permanent Change of Station): May be authorized • FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA): Exempt • FINANCIAL DISCLOSURE: Not Required • TELEWORK ELIGIBILITY: This position is telework eligible • SELECTIVE SERVICE REQUIREMENT: For more information http://www.sss.gov • Incumbent may be required to operate automotive, passenger vehicles in connection with the performance of duties. Specialized experience required for this position is: Expert knowledge of public laws and regulations, in addition to knowledge of global security threats, and the ability to integrate counterintelligence principles and identify issues and risks.
