This position is a member of the front office staff, assisting with visitors and students. As the Travel coordinator, responsibilities include the coordination and processing of all School of Music Faculty and Guest Artist travel (foreign and domestic), with the exception of Instrumental Ensembles and Choral faculty; assisting faculty with submission of receipts and submitting Travel Authorizations and reimbursements. Assist Asst. Dean for Finance with payment requests, check requests and deposits. As the Special Events Coordinator, responsibilities include being responsible for the selling of tickets for the following events: Parker Quartet, Freeman Series, and Southern Exposure reserved seating; attending major ticketed events, to include USC Symphony Concerts, Parker Quartet, and Freeman Series; assisting with other special events as they arise (Opera tickets, SCMEA reception, retirement receptions, and others, as they arise). Attend Koger/CLA Event Parking Calendar Meetings. Minimum Qualifications (Classified And Unclassified Positions) Bachelor’s degree and 3 years related program experience, or high school diploma and 7 years related experience. Preferred Qualifications Music background helpful. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Extensive knowledge of office management policies and procedures and record keeping. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to communicate with musicians and the public. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment is essential.
