The post-holder will work cross site at both Wharfedale Hospital and St. James`s University Hospital in Leeds. Candidates will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A commitment to personal and professional development as well as that of the team and service is required You will need to demonstrate skills in assessment treatment and management of patients with lymphoedema / chronic oedema as well as educating and supporting patients in their long-term management. Experience in the management of patients with lymphoedema is preferable but if you feel you have transferable skills that can be developed and have an awareness of lymphoedema we will be pleased to hear from you. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with the existing clinical team to gain knowledge and experience as well as access courses for more formal training. The service accepts referrals for patients with either Primary or Secondary Lymphoedema, from many specialities across the Trust as well as GP referrals. Clinics are held Monday to Friday at both hospital sites. If you are offered a position, you may be required to undertake a DBS. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced 48 or Standard 30) from your salary over a 3 month period (including Internal staff). You will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the 13 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment. For Band 1 roles the Trust will pay the cost of the DBS checks and refund to you the cost of the update service. DBS checks for volunteers are free. Please ensure your application is submitted with referees who can verify your employment/education history over the last three years and include valid email addresses for them. LTHT will request electronic Factual Employment References from your previous employers. These references will be requested before you are issued with an unconditional offer of employment letter.
