Summary The selectee of this position will serve as the point of contact ensuring that all Human Capitol policies, processes, procedures and initiatives are implemented in the office. The Specialist will also provide extraordinary customer services to all stakeholders. The selected individual will manage, direct and oversee Human Capital activities, special projects and provide administrative budget support. Responsibilities This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Planning and Project Management (PPM) Division and provides overall administrative assistance to the Office of Planning and Project Management to support continuity of operations. Duties Include • Serving as point of contact to ensure that all Human Capital policies, processes, procedures, and initiatives are implemented in the office and provides extraordinary customer service to all stakeholders. • Managing Planning and Project Management (PPM) inquiries on Human Capital questions and provides advice, guidance, and recommendations to the senior management staff. • Creating various types of personnel and payroll actions and scheduling interviews with applicants. • Planning and executing human resources program activities including drafting position descriptions, and initiating SF-52 actions to include recruitment, promotions, separations etc. • Advising supervisors on developing Performance Plans and providing performance expectations for employees. • Coordinating the Awards Recognition Program. • Providing general information on employee benefits programs such as retirement, Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) and Federal Employees Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) Programs. • Serving as customer service representative to supervisors and employees and acts as liaison for all human resources concerns. • Designing, developing and performing outreach efforts to establish and maintain effective working relationships with HCMD, the CFO, and AOC senior management staffs. • Preparing reports and other presentations on program planning and evaluation. • Actively participates in boards and committees as the representative of PPM.
