 The Human Resource Business Partner will provide guidance and consultation in any, some or all of the following: recruitment, classification, compensation, collective bargaining, employee/labor relations, grievances, affirmative action, training and development, performance management, program and policy development, organizational analysis, interpretation and application of laws, rules, policies, or other functions relating to human resources management. Serve as a skilled, experienced, human resource consultant performing professional, human resource duties. Responsible for resolving complex or difficult human resource issues. Plans and carries out work independently and with minimum supervision, utilizing knowledge of laws, policies and regulations. Responsible for prioritizing and managing issues within designated area of responsibility. A Job Seeker is a natural person who accesses, uses, or creates an account on a Company controlled Service to search for and apply to jobs advertised by Customers. • If you will be using the Services on behalf of a Customer, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization and you represent that you have the authority to do so. In such case, “you” and “your” will refer to that organization. Where these Terms conflict with either pre-existing additional terms of which were mutually and explicitly agreed to between Company and you (collectively referred to as the “Parties”), or where the Parties explicitly agreed otherwise, those additional terms shall control to the extent of the conflict. ABOUT THE COLLEGE • If you do not agree to all of terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement, you may not use the Services. You indicate your agreement to this Agreement by clicking or tapping on a button indicating your acceptance of these Terms, by executing a document that references them, or by using the Services; therefore, this Agreement is a legally binding contract between you and Company (also referred to as “we”, or “us”). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES Classification/Compensation • Audit new, vacant and occupied unclassified and classified positions. Interpret and allocate positions to appropriate classification system applying appropriate definitions and knowledge of Washington State and Bellevue College's classification/compensation system. • Company reserves the right to modify this Agreement at any time, at its sole discretion, by posting an updated version to this web page. If you are a Customer with a subscription, changes to this Agreement shall be effective upon renewal of your subscription. If you are a Job Seeker, changes to this Agreement are effective immediately. Utilize EEO/AA regulations in recruitment processes. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers and supervisors. • Provide training to managers and supervisors on hiring processes, procedures and legal requirements. Employee Relations • In collaboration with AVP-HR, provide information, interpretation, advice, training, and counsel to management and employees regarding workplace concerns and disagreements, performance management, workplace climate, techniques for motivating employees, supervising and working in a union environment, and compliance with state and federal laws and rules. • All marks contained herein, including but not limited to organization logos, trademarks, and related intellectual property of which are implemented into the Services by you, are the property of their respective owners. Company does not claim ownership of any Customer marks or property. • Conduct investigations and interviews of alleged employee misconduct and prepare or assist supervisors prepare documentation for college response. Serve as facilitator/mediator when appropriate. Labor Relations • Except as otherwise expressly set forth herein, Company is the owner of all intellectual property rights (including copyrights) in the Services, including but not limited to designs, text, graphics, images, video, information, logos, button icons, software, and audio files (collectively, “Company Content”). Material published by Company may contain other proprietary notices or describe products, services, processes, or technologies owned by Company or third parties. Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as granting to you a license to Company Content under any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right except as expressly set forth herein. • In collaboration with AVP-HR, apply labor collective bargaining agreements and procedures for grievances, investigations, corrective and disciplinary actions, and other personnel actions. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with union representatives, employees, managers and supervisors. Compliance • Provide interpretation, information and advice regarding, college policies and procedures, collective bargaining agreements, Washington Administrative Code, Revised Code of Washington, ADA, FMLA, L&I return-to-work, other state-supported or collectively bargained leave plans, Title IX, Title VII, EEO, ADEA, FLSA, EPA, and other rules and regulations that may impact the college. • “NEOGOV,” “GovernmentJobs.com,” “CareerNow,” “Career Pages,” and certain other names or logos are trademarks of Company, and all related product and service names, design marks, and slogans are the trademarks or service marks of Company.
