Under limited supervision of the County Director, the Human Services Coordinator II will plan, implement, develop, and coordinate comprehensive economic services programs for a County Department of Social Services. Supervise Human Services Coordinator I's and Human Services Specialist II's in Clarendon County. Supervise and evaluate performance of Family Independence, ABAWD, SNAP, Human Services Coordinator I's, Program Coordinator II, and Program Coordinator I. Review, interpret and clarify all policies and procedures relative to Family Independence, ABAWD and SNAP. Ensure the expedient provision of quality services in these programs areas. Reviews and monitors reports, records, and in-house procedures to evaluate program effectiveness. Determine needs and provides or arranges training for Family Independence, ABAWD and SNAP in formal groups or individuals conferences relative to policy, procedure and social work skills. Assess program needs and aligns staff to ensure utilization and maximum efficiency. Coordinate service delivery with other program coordinators within the agency as well as outside agencies and service providers. Perform public relations for FI, Food Stamps, Child Care and Claims including speeches, formal presentations and contact with the media and general public. Interview and select applicants for vacant positions.A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science and two (2) year of professional experience in Human Services or Social Service programs. A Bachelor's Degree in any other field and three (3) years of professional experience in Human Services or Social Service programs. A Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, or Behavioral Science and one (1) year of professional experience in Human Services or Social Services programs. A Master's Degree in any other field and two (2) year of professional experience in Human Services or Social Services programs. Selected positions may prefer supervisory experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by the Division of State Human Resources. Considerable knowledge and understanding of public assistance, philosophy, regulations, policies, and procedures; intensive management process and social work principles and methods; and supportive counseling and guidance methods, techniques and approaches. Ability to gather, analyze and synthesize data; to develop and assess community resources; to training.
