Write, proof, and edit various informational materials for internal and external audiences. Assist Communications Director and Public Information staff in preparing written materials including speaking points, materials for the web site, brochures, social media posts and other agency printed materials. Create original content and monitor content on agency social media sites including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram. Assist with photography at agency ceremonies and events. Assist with the planning of agency ceremonies and events. Provide assistance to the Freedom of Information Office staff in preparing FOIA requests, entering them into the database and disseminating requests, as needed. A bachelor's degree in a related field. Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree in communications, mass media journalism, marketing, or a related field. Excellent writing and photography skills and the ability to create digital content for use in social media posts and online ad campaigns. Works with minimal supervision under the guidance of the Communications Director and Media Relations Commander. Occasional night or weekend assignments, particularly during a state-declared weather emergency.
