Posting Closing Date: 08/08/2019 Position Title:Direct Care Aide(Human Services Worker II) Facility:Northeast Florida State Hospital Announcement Type:Open Competitive Pay Grade/Pay Band:009 / BB002 Direct Care Glide Path Salary Increases: Employees will have the opportunity to learn required job-related competencies to perform in their position at a world class workforce level in the field of behavioral health and human services. The Glide Path is a structured training program in which direct care employees can expect continuous professional growth and prospects. A mentor will be assigned to each employee to follow, observe, assess, and enable this growth for the employee. The new employee can expect to start this program during new employee orientation and continue until they have met their professional goals. The projected time-frame for the initial glide path competency-based increase occurs after successful completion of Tiers 1 and 2, of the identified core competencies of the position duties. This increase typically occurs by the six month of employment and is approximately 2.5%. After successful completion of Tier 3, and attaining permanent status at 12 months, the employee is eligible to receive the second competency-based increase which is also approximately 2.5%. Current employees will be compensated in accordance with the DCF salary policy. The selected candidate assigned to an eight-hour shift, will be assigned to one of three shifts covering the 24-hour period. This position may be required to work additional mandatory hours which may include working on a scheduled off-duty day.
