Position Summary This position will create awareness of the services offered by Auxiliary Services and promote/improve the goodwill of those units. It will conduct activities to help provide a positive image of all of the entire Auxiliary Services Division. To do so, the incumbent will be responsible for building relationships with the management teams in each department and regularly meeting with those individuals to promote awareness of the work being done in the division. The position will receive its primary guidance and direction from the Marketing and Communications Manager and from time to time may receive additional guidance and direction through the Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services and/or the Director of Auxiliary Services. Assist with planning, developing and writing content for Web and print publications; edit press releases and feature stories on activities of Auxiliary Services. Produce content for Finance and Administration Newsletter as well as written content for department as needed including press releases and articles. Assists in planning special events by coordinating details and carrying out administrative functions to execute events. Assist with the development of required marketing materials and/or media. Make program recommendations. Track success of tabling events, marketing campaigns, and overall increases/decreases in applicants. Look for new ways to engage students. Lead and manage the Auxiliary & Meal Plan Ambassador Program. Advertise Ambassador program, interview, and hire students. Work with volunteer managers to lead Ambassador team. Plan schedules and responsibilities for Ambassadors. Manage Ambassador students to perform work duties and maintain level of customer service. Sell meal plans.
