Proposed Start Date July 15, 2019 Proposed End Date or Length of Term Number of Months Employed Per Year 12 Full or Part Time Full-Time Summary Of Duties And Responsibilities The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) at Iowa State University seeks qualified applicants for a Program Manager I to serve as the Recruitment Director for undergraduate student recruitment. The core responsibilities of this position include developing, executing, and evaluating recruitment strategies for the college and leading and mentoring staff responsible for new and transfer student recruitment. The Recruitment Director will use data to inform decisions in the development of recruitment plans and measurable goals to attract undergraduate students to the college; will introduce and champion innovative strategies to increase recruitment, admissions, and diversity efforts; will provide direction and oversight in the development of pipeline recruitment activities, including but not limited to, programs for elementary, high school, and college students; and will engage in building relationships to move prospective students to acceptance. This position will report to the LAS Assistant Dean for Student Success and will collaborate closely with college administration, university offices, and other stakeholders to achieve enrollment targets, including the University’s strategic enrollment management initiative, oversee the college’s recruitment budget, distribute target and outcomes data, and research ways to remove barriers to students’ enrollment success. The successful candidate will be skillful with data, have an understanding of national recruiting trends, have excellent communication, leadership, and decision making skills, possess a broad understanding of liberal arts curriculum and philosophy; have an understanding of this positions role in the coordinated care life-cycle of a student, and a deep commitment to diversity and inclusion.
