I specialize in locating and acquiring compelling, never-before-seen video footage capturing events of significant public interest. I have turned that into a full-time job but I am not coming anywhere close to fully capitalizing on a lot of the material I have. I have also held onto my most promising content. I recently obtained 10+ hours of fantastic footage of a star in the music / entertainment industry. I will not say more about it here, but my content has made global headlines many times, and I am confident that this has the potential to outperform everything of mine that has come before. Your job is to help me make that happen. Marketing and media relations are not my strong suits, and when I publish [the copyright-eligible derivative works that I am creating from] the footage I have, there will be a limited amount of time before other media outlets can get their hands on the underlying material. During that time I want to promote and license the hell out of my work. This effort really involves two separate jobs. Both are described below, however this job listing is for Part One. PART ONE: I am looking to hire an expert at news media marketing / media relations / public relations for one or more one-hour consultations (voice). You will help me strategize and plan how to make this all happen. The ideal candidate has experience selling footage to broadcast and/or online news media outlets, and/or has experience on the buying side. Please explain that experience in your response and point to specific, successful, high-intensity PR / media outreach campaigns where you have had a leadership role. The bigger the better, as I expect to be dealing with major media outlets on this. You should have some knowledge of the music / entertainment industry, though experience working in the industry is not required. I hope to hire for this quickly and expect that the successful candidate will be available to speak less than 24 hours after accepting. My prime working hours for this are at late-night / early morning eastern time, though I can be flexible on that. If Part One goes well, you may the one for... PART TWO: Execution. The ideal candidate -Is excellent at pitching, promoting, and sales -Has experience working with digital video -Is outgoing and personable -Can point to specific experience executing high-intensity public relations and media relations campaign(s). -Is a strong writer and copy editor -Speaks English with native-tongue fluency Extra points if you also have experience editing and/or producing viral video content or media for broadcast television. -I must be able to verify your identity. -May be the same person as for Part One. Part Two will be advertised separately this coming week, and will likely be a fixed-price job. That said, if you are applying for this and you think you would be excellent at both strategy and execution, absolutely let me know here. A signed non-disclosure agreement will be required before I discuss details with anyone. • I am aware (and you should be too) that there is a non-disclosure agreement already built-in to Upwork's terms
