Or, B. Earned a Bachelor's Degree in professional engineering with curriculum including differential and integral calculus. The curriculum also must have included courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in 5 of the 7 following areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials; fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d)thermodynamics; (e) electric fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials; and (g)any other comparable area of engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer,soil mechanics, or electronics. Or, C. Not have a Bachelor's degree in professional engineering, but have completed 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical and engineering sciences, and in engineering that included the courses specified in B above. The courses must have been fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum. Or, D. Earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field such as physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology AND have one year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance including an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence. Or, E. Successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training examination and earned one of the following:(a) a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (BET) from an accredited college or university that included 60 semester hoursof courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, OR (b) a BET from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Or, F. Currently registered as a professional engineer.
