The department invites applicants for the position of Front Desk Supervisor (multiple positions). The Front Desk Staff Supervisor plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of Housing and Residence Life, leading and mentoring staff. Working closely with the Executive Director, Area Coordinators, and Hall Directors, the Front Desk Supervisor ensures that all residential communities are properly staffed, safe, clean, and well-maintained during assigned shifts. In addition, the incumbent will: 1. Provide direction to front desk staff in all residence halls in absence of Program Admin Manager/Front Desk Staff Manager. 2. Assist with relevant departmental training. 3. Provide accurate and detailed daily, weekly, and monthly reports. 4. Assist with University and departmental enforcement of all rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines. 5. Provide outstanding customer service to residents, visitors and the entire University community. 6. Assist departmental staff with hall readiness during fall, spring, and summer sessions. 7. Assist with other duties as assigned. Working knowledge of housing environments. • Considerable experience scheduling and managing multiple work assignments. • Experience working with a diverse population; students, faculty and staff preferred • Considerable critical thinking, problem solving, and crisis management skills. • Considerable organizational/planning skills. • Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines. • Demonstrated ability to be detailed-oriented. • Demonstrated ability to function well in interrupt mode in an environment with changing priorities and extreme pressure situations. • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of training and education that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Preferred Qualifications 1. Associate’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, abilities. • Prior supervisory experience. • Experience working in a college residential environment preferred.
