Salary Grade: GN08 Salary Range:$33,960 - $57,493
This position is located at Craggy Correctional Center in Buncombe County, NC. Provide supervision for subordinate staff. Conduct shift line-up, make shift assignments and inspect all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. Complete, review and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations and administrative forms. Account for persons, insure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready. Performs other duties as required.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Training and Standards Councel, to include U.S. Citizenship.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
High School or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years six months of experience as a Correctional Officer, or two years of experience as Correctional Officer II; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Necessary Special Qualifications Must be eligible for certification by the N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training and Standards Commission.
