This position conducts initial research into emerging client-side and server-side technologies as it relates to application development. The Application Development Analyst also provides development on core university systems, develops web applications and reusable libraries for many campus units, and works to develop integrations with various third-party solutions. The Application Development Analyst will collaborate and consult frequently with non-technical ISU staff to gather business requirements for development purposes. This position may be filled at a higher level. In addition to the aforementioned responsibilities, the Application Development Analyst will also be lead projects, assist the team leader in assigning and prioritizing workload, and mentor developers. IT Services provides core computing, network services, enterprise systems, and information security resources to the students, faculty, and staff of Iowa State. ITS partners with IT professionals from around campus to provide more specialized IT resources to ISU’s academic and business units. The ideal candidate will have strong problem identification and resolution skills, advanced software development knowledge, strong project management and prioritization skills, the ability to work successfully within a team and communicate effectively with collaborators which include campus partners and vendors.
