Required License/Registration/Certification Credential of Registered Dietitian Nutritionist ( RDN ), preferred Job Summary The Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition at the University of Kentucky in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment seeks a candidate for a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant level, with a start date of July 1, 2019. The distribution of effort is approximately 70% Research, 25% Instruction and 5% Service. Faculty assignments and division of efforts are subject to annual negotiation between the chair and faculty member. Successful applicants will be prepared to lead a collaborative research program and provide excellent student learning opportunities. The Department of Dietetics and Human Nutrition ( DHN ) offers outstanding higher education opportunities for students passionate about food, health, and wellness. Our undergraduate program in Human Nutrition provides a strong foundation to prepare students for dental, medical, optometry, pharmacy, physical therapy, or physician assistant studies. We also have a long history of preparing successful Registered Dietitians for a rewarding career through our accredited didactic, coordinated, and internship programs. Faculty in DHN are engaged in a wide variety of research, from food environment and culture to exercise and physiology. We value community engagement and offer award-winning Cooperative Extension Service programs through Family and Consumer Sciences Extension to help Kentuckians live their best lives.
