Posting Details Position Information Date New Hire Needed Job Title IT Marketing Communications Program Manager Department Information Technology Service Position Summary Information Job Summary POSITION OVERVIEW A member of Information Technology Services Core Services team, the IT Marketing Communications Program Manager has a primary responsibility to lead the
development, creation and execution of the communication strategy and marketing material, to educate and build brand identity that embraces the department s and college s mission. This position will ensure that campus constituents are informed about available and proposed technology services; proposed, ongoing, and completed technology projects, and operational status changes (e.g., planned or unplanned service outages). Responsibilities Collaborates with the Office of Communications to develop communication materials to be used by subject matter experts and project managers. Effectively supervise student employees Lead the development, creation and execution of the communication strategy and materials to educate and inform, while maintaining brand identity Collaborate and consult with key stakeholders to identify and recommend creative solutions that promote and meet business goals Research and recommend appropriate and effective communication channels Leverage resources to reach target audiences and elevate ITS programs through informative collateral Provide communications expertise to constituents to impact the effective communications and notification of system outages The Core ITS Services Team The newest team within ITS, the Core ITS Services Team comprises a dedicated team of project managers, communications and data experts, and business operations staff. The team also provides training for our students, faculty, and staff and is expanding its capacities in all areas of their remit under the direction of a newly-appointed Deputy Chief Information Officer. Home to a number of IT operations-focused student employees, the team prides itself on the experiential learning opportunities its environment and dedicated staff provide. Information Technology Services: Information Technology Services oversees the majority of technology, audio-visual, and telephone services for Grinnell College, and provides service and strategic support through its functional teams: Enterprise Systems; Information Security; Network Services; User Services; and Core ITS Services. ITS has an annual operating budget (excluding salaries and asset rotation) of approximately $4 million and a professional staff of about 40. Under new leadership (the Chief Information Officer was appointed in 2015), and with the full support of the visionary president, Dr. Raynard S. Kington, ITS is undergoing a strategic advancement and benefiting from increased investment by the college.
