To perform a variety of work in the preparation and execution of events held at the Adams County Regional Park. Note: This is a temporary, seasonal position. Work Schedule: On Call as needed • Maintain a positive and encouraging working relationship with coworkers, clients, and patrons of the Adams County Regional Park Complex. • Provide excellent customer service during contracted events held within the Regional Park facilities. • Operate and maintain a variety of driven equipment including utility vehicles, tractors, floor scrubbers, skid steer loaders, and forklifts. • Operate and maintain a variety of mechanical tools and equipment including power saws, power sanders, drills, air compressors, paint sprayers, sewer augers, and various hand tools required for basic maintenance work.
• Perform a variety of cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping and vacuuming, scrubbing, stripping, and waxing floors. • Clean, maintain, and sanitize kitchens and restrooms; stock restrooms with necessary supplies. • Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs. • Rake leaves and clear debris from walks and other areas of facilities; sweep parking lots; pick up trash. • Identify equipment needs for each assigned project. • Perform winterizing maintenance in facilities; remove snow. • Provide information and assistance to the public. • Assist in livestock projects including barn cleaning and arena preparation. • Assist in setting up facilities for special events; move panels, stages, tables, chairs, and sound systems; clean up after events including cleaning barns; secure facilities. • Participate in a variety of special events held within Adams County. • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required. • Experience: Some experience in the cleaning and repair of facilities. • Education and Training: Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. • License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license may be required for some positions. • Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check.Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, squat, stoop, reach, crawl, twist, climb, and lift 50 pounds. • Exposure to noise, the outdoors, confining work space, electrical hazards, chemicals, dust, mechanical hazards. • Availability for on-call and stand-by call; night and/or weekend shifts are essential
