The Marketing Coordinator l is responsible for working with the Marketing Communications Specialist I to complete the planning, creation, and execution of all marketing efforts for the Department of Housing and Residence Life, with a focus on internal partnerships, print and HTML communications, in-person tours on the main campus and coordination of major university events. This position is also responsible for managing the overall customer service experience for students, parents, and other visitors that are internal or external to the university, as it relates to university housing. Duties: • assist with the development and execution of departmental marketing efforts including websites, all print materials, direct mail, university events, photo and video shoots, and electronic communication • work with graphic designer and UCF SMCA to create design concepts and copy for publications, including but not limited to: viewbooks, flyers, posters, postcards, banners, and direct mail pieces • assist with reviewing all content for departmental websites • create and edit advanced MS access queries to build and organize distribution lists for direct mailing and email campaigns • organize and maintain scheduling for all marketing efforts • plan and coordinate all internal and external marketing events • proof all marketing materials prior to production • work with vendors to create video and digital media as needed Manage the main campus daily tour program and Housing Administration Building (HAB) and Housing Services (HS) reception desks • recruit, supervise, train, and evaluate student housing ambassadors • oversee staffing of HAB and HS reception desks • coordinate VIP and special tours, including large group tours Organize departmental participation in university-wide events such as Orientation, Open Houses, Info Tabling, etc. • represent the department at university events, including presenting to large groups • schedule staffing, set up and work with university partners to ensure successful participation • create and update reports to evaluate effectiveness and reach of events • Ability to use Residential Management Systems and Microsoft Access to generate reports. • Assist with room signup events and other Residence Life and Education events as needed. • Assist the Assistant/Associate Director with tasks related to occupancy management including student recruitment, reports, focus groups, etc. • Develop and interpret departmental documents, policies, and procedures Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Department: SDES-HOUSING Hours of work: 8am-5pm -some evenings & weekends Work Schedule: Monday-Friday Type of Appointment: Regular Advertised Annual Salary: Negotiable Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience.
