As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, you will: • Interpret and interrelate program plans, resource constraints, budget proposals, cost of operations, and program accomplishments to produce reliable budgetary and managerial data and recommendations to senior leadership. • Provide technical expertise establishing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing/administering all aspects on budget. • Recommend budget for desired level of program operations is prepared in a format consistent with legislative and regulatory guidance and is understandable and acceptable to reviewing and approving authorities. • Direct the preparation of budget materials and supporting documentation necessary for OMB review and Congressional hearings on OIG funding requests. • Ensure that obligations incurred and resulting expenditures of funds are in accordance with existing laws and regulations. • Lead the team in assessing its strengths and weaknesses and provides leadership to the team in exploring alternatives and determining what improvements can be implemented. • Monitor and distribute the preparation of allotments and sub-allotments of funds for distribution to program managers, and directs the monitoring, checking and control of the use of office funds. • Execute the full range of supervisory responsibilities to include (but not limited to) planning and assigning work to be accomplished by lower level budget, accounting and/or financial analysts; evaluating the work performance of the subordinates; disciplining employees for misconduct; identifying developmental and training needs of the budget, accounting and/or financial analysts and provide for such training.
