Hiring Range - $$46,561 - $76,065 This position will provide technical oversight, leadership, direction, policy development and application programming in the areas of data, technology and geospatial services for Division 3. This position will be responsible for developing, designing and supporting NCDOT Data and GIS applications. This position will work with the Division 3 leadership, field units and the central analytics unit to gather application and technology project requirements that support the entire division. This position will develop GIS applications and manage data. This position is a liaison with all Division 3 work units and statewide staff
to support the mission of NCDOT and Division 3. Applicants must meet both the Education Requirements and all 5 posting KSAs in order to quality. Qualified applicants must submit an application that CLEARLY REFLECTS work experience that demonstrates the following: • Knowledge of Data Management as it relates to Asset Management and Geospatial applications. • Working knowledge of investigating and understanding the GIS needs of various user groups and developing solutions to provide support for project development, project delivery and Asset Management. • Experience analyzing and applying GIS technical knowledge to solve problems and provide improvement recommendations to existing systems and processes. • Experience working independently and coordinating with multiple users with varying levels of GIS experience to facilitate the movement to a GIS based Asset Management Platform. • Experience managing small projects that involve implementing technology, working with teams, field data collection, scheduling and quality control. Additional Expectations: Experience preferred in ESRI's suites of ArcGIS products including ESRI Explorer, ESRI Collector, and Survey 123, Python Programming Language and ArcGIS Python Toolbox scripting. Experience preferred in GIS Industry Technology and Standards and knowledge of SQL applied to geodatabases. NC driver's license preferred. Bachelor's degree with some computer related coursework from an appropriately accredited university; or Associate's Degree in Computer Programming from an appropriately accredited university; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
