Responsibilities As a DAR Analyst, you will: • Lead and provide authoritative guidance to support teams in carrying out a full range of real estate related activities, including real estate loan origination (both residential and commercial), leasing residential and commercial real estate, collections (both real estate and consumer), monitoring restitution agreements and civil judgments, loan administration, escrow analysis, loan amortization, account servicing, account researching, and recasting loans as needed. • Negotiate leases ranging from basic residential to long term commercial leases. • Lead teams of staff and contractors in residential and commercial loan origination, leasing, foreclosure and sale of residential and commercial real estate, real estate and commercial loan collections, and loan administration. • Performing valuations of loan and asset portfolios to determine the least cost alternative. • Develop models using relevant industry trends, qualitative factors and/or statistical data to value large complex loan portfolios. • Manage asset portfolios to maximize total overall returns and minimize servicing expenses. • Provide consultation regarding loss mitigation and workout strategies. • Develop work out plans for complex commercial and real estate assets. • Evaluate loan portfolios for compliance with applicable laws, regulations and loan documentation requirements. ### Travel Required 50% or less - Travel is required to assigned liquidation and consulting cases, training, meeting, and conferences; travel is to all U.S. states and territories. ##### Supervisory status No ##### Promotion Potential 14 • #### Job family (Series) 0301 Miscellaneous Administration And Program • Requirements Help ## Requirements ### Conditions of Employment • You must be a U.S. Citizen. • Suitable adjudication of background/security investigation is required. • A probationary/trial period may be required. • This position is telework eligible. ### Qualifications You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. • *To qualify at the CU-13 level,** you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-12 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). • *For the CU-13 level, specialized experience** is defined as experience in all of the following areas: 1. Reviewing and analyzing loan portfolios; and 2. Examining, originating, reviewing assets held by financial institutions; and 3. Performing project management to establish program goals, scope, budget and/or assignments; and 4. Analyzing financial data to recommend corrective procedures. • *To qualify at the CU-14 level,** you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). • *For the CU-14 level, specialized experience** is defined as experience in all of the following areas: 1. Reviewing and analyzing loan portfolios, and 2. Examining, originating, reviewing assets held by financial institutions; and 3. Performing project management to establish program goals, scope, budget and/or assignments; and 4. Analyzing financial data to recommend corrective procedures; and 5. Monitoring real estate activities (for example: leasing, taxes, insurance coverage, foreclosures, titling, etc.). • **You must meet the qualifications for this position by the closing date of this announcement.*** ### Education Education is not required for this position nor may be used to qualify. ### Additional information If you are selected for this position at the CU-13, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next level through CU-14 provided that you have fulfilled the necessary qualification requirements including any applicable certification processes. Promotion is not automatic and is conditional on demonstrated ability to perform the higher grade level duties, a current written performance appraisal rating of "fully successful" or better, and fulfillment of the necessary qualification requirements. Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position. • *SALARY**: Pay will be set using NCUA's compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 25.32% for the Austin, Texas geographical area.
